Kris Xenopoulos is a South African guitarist most known for the acts Vulvodynia, Technopath and viral comedy death metal outfit xavlegbmaofffassssitimiwoamndutroabcwapwaeiippohfffx (ask him what it stands for some time).


Kris has been featured in Guitar World Magazine and was the cover page for “New Voices In Guitar” outlining “10 fresh guitarists to keep an ear out for in the coming year” for 2020.


He has performed on multiple headline tours in Europe with his bands Vulvodynia and Xavleg, as well as headlined tours in the United States, Australia, and Africa with the band Vulvodynia. Vulvodynia has also toured with renowned acts such as, Despised Icon, Archspire, Malevolence, Beneath The Massacre, Inferi to name a few. Kris has also performed at multiple big festivals around the world that include Brutal Assault (Czech Republic), Party San Open Air (Germany), Deathfeast (Germany) and many more.


In Kris' prog band Technopath, Kris played alongside legendary musicians such as, Brian Beller (Bass for: The Aristocrats, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani), Mattias IA Eklundh (Freak Kitchen) and Nick Johnston.


In a great show of his versatility, Kris' upcoming instrumental solo EP highlights his ability to not be confined to one style or genre, culminating into a unique modern fusion. As well as blending genres, the EP is accompanied by a variety of great musicians such as Misstiq (on piano) and Brandon Johnson (of Catbamboo; on drums). It is also featuring solos by Rafa Rodriguez (on sax) and Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal (Sons Of Apollo, Guns & Roses, Asia; on fretless guitar)


Kris is endorsed by Ormsby Guitars, Ernie Ball, Neural DSP, Happy Cable Company, and Swiss Picks.


For the last two consecutive years, Kris has been invited by Ormbsy Guitars to perform as a solo act at The Winter Namm Show in Anaheim, California.


Kris is currently working on Vulvodynia, with two new records, a split EP and a full length Album coming soon. He is Also getting ready for the release of his upcoming Solo EP. Kris still plans to release music with his other bands Xavleg and Technopath during 2021 as well. 


Despite the chaos in the world, Kris continues adapting, making music consistently and achieving more each year. At the young age of 24, this is still only the beginning for this bright rising star.
